Gallery Night is the most consistent event where you can find Lindsey Hampton and her most recent work. She took to the streets with her nude figures in November 2020 and after several different marketplaces, she landed in Downtown Pensacola’s major art walk.
She wants to give a shout out to the markets that got her this far. Though Serda’s market is closed, please share the love by following them and visiting other amazing local artists!

In 2017, Lindsey embarked on a personal journey to challenge her perspective of her self image. For Lindsey, she was conflicted on the truths of her physical appearance and no longer wanted to be afraid of her body.
What started as a small experiment blew up into something bigger than herself. Suddenly her self-healing began to resonate with other women of all ages. To share these experiences about the self and how we treat ourselves based on the skin we wear only gave Lindsey more drive to take on commissions and add more pieces to her wall.
These paintings are no longer self-portraits to Lindsey. These works are reflections and conversations to help heal and change the way the world views women in society. She is on a mission to continue to add additional live models of all walks of life to expand this conversation to every ear that needs to hear it.

Since her debut in December, 2019, Lindsey Hampton has been battling with managing her time between a full time job to fit any bit of painting into her daily life. It was not until the Brooklyn Library Project in 2021, she rediscovered the meaning of “Daily Practice.” The small studies allowed Lindsey to experiment with composition, lighting, and color pallets with little risk to her time.
When she brought them to the streets to see if there was a market for her 5x7 studies, she found many people enjoyed being able to have an original work without burning a hole in their wallets. It became her way of creating affordable works for her audience while sharpening her skills.
After several moves in the last year, her practice was temporarily on hold. However, with her new studio settled in, you can expect to see more in the coming Gallery Night events.

In 2019, Lindsey wrapped up her final classes at the University of West Florida with her study abroad experience in Carlow, Ireland. For a month she and a team of creative spirits traversed the southern regions of Ireland and created works inspired by the rich natural landscapes.
Separated from her daily life and an unfamiliar painting medium, Lindsey was offered a new perspective on life: slow and gentle. This experience allowed Lindsey to reconnect with her love for nature and focus on the practice of creating.
It was an exciting realization that she could fit art into every nook and cranny of her day. Much of this work was done on the go, whether on a train, in the middle of walking down a street, or even hiking in the mountains. All she needed was a sketchbook and something to draw with so she could return to the studio and paint the world.
Though there were so many amazing people she met, Mary Cullen Kelly and Jacinta Crowley, to name a few, she found quiet connections with the animals and landscapes of Ireland. These works were placed in the St. Mary’s Church Irish Experience Pop-up show in Carlow, Ireland and later showcased in the Irish Experience Exhibition in the Art Gallery at the University of West Florida. Both exhibitions were to showcase the artist's personal experience of Ireland and share the various ways an artist can maximize their experience when traveling abroad.

In December 2019, Lindsey celebrated the end of her academic studies with a collection of work she developed during her time at the University of West Florida. The series was not only a commentary on her progression from a dry medium artist to an oil painter, but it was a conversation on the self, religion, and the passing of time. It was also the beginning of her self portraits that later led to monthly conversations about the female body.
She has kept much of the originals for herself at this time, but prints of these works are sold every Gallery Night and will soon be available on her online store in 2023.
